Deanne Koll

With nearly 20 years of experience, Deanne focuses her practice on creditor’s rights, commercial collections, and financial restructuring where she represents lenders, financial institutions, cooperatives, leasing companies, and other businesses throughout Wisconsin. She brings a pragmatic, results-driven approach to resolving complex financial disputes and distressed asset matters.

Deanne has extensive experience handling sophisticated commercial collections, creditor representation in bankruptcy proceedings, receivership actions, post-judgment enforcement, collateral recovery, and out-of-court business restructurings and forbearance agreements. Her deep experience allows her to efficiently assess risk, protect client interests, and develop cost-effective strategies tailored to each matter.

In addition to her creditor’s rights practice, Deanne leads the firm’s Municipal Prosecution Practice, representing more than ten municipalities in western Wisconsin. In this role, she partners closely with local governments and law enforcement to provide consistent, professional prosecution services while maintaining a strong focus on fairness, efficiency, and public trust.

Deanne also maintains a diverse civil litigation practice, with experience in real estate, construction, and financial disputes. Her broad litigation background enhances her ability to anticipate challenges, negotiate from a position of strength, and deliver practical solutions for her clients.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Successfully defended a shareholder’s interest at trial when a minority shareholder attempted to have the corporation judicially dissolved.
  • Represented court-appointed Ch. 128 receiver in multi-million-dollar sale of assets and related litigation.
  • Successfully obtained dismissal of Chapter 11 bankruptcy on behalf of the largest secured creditor.
  • Defended local lender sued for breach of good faith and fair dealing and obtained dismissal of the case with no damages assessed against the lender.
  • Successfully tried multi-day real estate litigation matter involving overlapping surveys and riparian rights.
  • Effectively negotiated a financial workout agreement for local lender with customer owing millions in past-due loans with collateral in 4 states.
  • Successfully tried multi-day construction litigation case with award of all money requested by contractor and full dismissal of counterclaims.
  •  Successfully defended client in three-day trial relating to property rights and obtained full dismissal of claims.
