Deanne is a collections expert with comprehensive knowledge of state and federal collection regulations as well as the Bankruptcy and Uniform Commercial Codes. She counsels lenders and businesses on collection issues, creditor’s rights in bankruptcy, state insolvency proceedings and out-of-court business reorganizations. She joined Bakke Norman in 2006 and has developed a deep understanding of, and has experience with, complex commercial restructuring and business litigation.
Pete is a highly regarded civil and business litigator, with an emphasis on commercial litigation, employment law, and intellectual property disputes. He has specialized experience involving farm-related legal matters. Pete is the consummate trial lawyer including jury and court trials before administrative, state, and federal courts. He’s handled appeals to the State of Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the State of Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Federal 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Terry specializes in Municipal Law, Real Estate and Estate Planning Law. He has represented cities, villages and towns all over Northwestern Wisconsin in many areas of municipal law including zoning, frac sand issues, impact fees, open meeting and public records laws, drafting ordinances, and board-of-review issues. Terry’s experience as head of software sales for a European company before becoming an attorney has also given him unique insight into Information Technology issues.
