ATTORNEYS CHRISTINE GIMBER, WILLIAM WALLO AND MAIVUE XIONG JOIN BAKKE NORMAN LAW OFFICES

January 19, 2021 – Christine A. Gimber, William E. Wallo and MaiVue Xiong have joined Bakke Norman Law Offices. Attorneys Gimber, Wallo and Xiong have a long history of serving businesses and individuals throughout the Chippewa Valley and Northwest Wisconsin. Each will work out of Bakke Norman’s newly opened Eau Claire office. 

Christine Gimber is an Eau Claire native. For the past 28 years she has represented local financial institutions, businesses and individuals in creditor matters and other business disputes. She will continue to concentrate her practice in those areas. Christine was also the managing partner of a large local law firm for over 10 years. She has been deeply involved in the community, having served on the Board of Directors of the Family Resource Center, the Wildlands Science and Research School of Fall Creek, and the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. She continues to serve on the Chamber’s Agri-Business Committee.  

Bill Wallo came to Eau Claire to serve as the Attorney Clerk for the Western District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Court. After 18 years with the court, he entered private practice, where he has represented businesses, individuals and financial institutions in commercial transactions, financial restructuring, bankruptcy and related litigation. He is the Chair of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Bankruptcy Section. Bill has been given an “AV-Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, and named a Wisconsin Super Lawyer. Bill serves as a board member at his church and volunteers for the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center, the Chippewa Valley Book Festival, the Chamber of Commerce, the Eau Claire Economic Development Corporation, and Momentum West.

MaiVue Xiong is an Eau Claire native who received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. She represents small and large businesses with their transactional and contractual needs. This includes negotiation of buy/sell agreements, financing and real estate documents, and compliance with trademark law. MaiVue is the current Executive Director of the Pablo Foundation, serves on the boards of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce and the Wisconsin State Bar Business Law Section, and is on Governor Tony Evers’ Judicial Selection Advisory Committee.
